Recognise that God loves you.

‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ (John 3:16)

 

Admit that you are a sinner.

‘For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.’ (Romans 3:23)

 

Realise that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sin.

‘But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’ (Romans 5:8)

 

Acknowledge you cannot earn Heaven by your own efforts.

‘not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.’ (Titus 3:5)

 

Accept that eternal life in Heaven is a free gift.

‘For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’ (Romans 6:23)

 

Believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven.

‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ (John 14:6)

 

Turn to Jesus and trust in Him.

‘For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ (Romans 10:13)
